Statistics

Statistics.
Stats.
Whatever. People love them, all over Britain you’ll hear the ‘stats’ for this and the ‘stats’ for that, ‘since records began’ is a firm favourite – we’ve even adopted the saying in our house (eg: that was the best macaroni cheese since records began).

So when WordPress brought in country statistics, it made me sit up and check my stats even more than before. Not only can you now see how many people have read your blog, but WHERE in the world these people are. I don’t know why it fascinates me so much, but gosh darn, it does.
Now, I don’t have tens of thousands of ‘hits’ but I find it really interesting that I’m writing this in London and people in Bangladesh are reading it.

Here are the countries, in order of most reads:

South Africa
United Kingdom
United States
Australia
Canada
Korea
Brazil
Venezuela
New Zealand
India
Ukraine
Columbia
Bangladesh
Indonesia
Kenya
Russian Federation
United Arab Emirates

One day my wordpress map will be fully coloured in and I will know I am one step closer to some other random stat that really doesn’t mean anything in the grand scheme of life, but it makes me blog happy.
