Just keep learning

A little while ago I went on a 2 day wedding photography course, it was amazing and I think it’s time to write about it.

It was help in the beautiful town of Woburn, before the course I have to be honest – I hadn’t even heard of this place. It was lead by the uber talented Crash Taylor, Jayce Clark & Uzair Kharawala. This course was about marketing and working the wedding day, for people already running a wedding photography business or those wanting to start their business.

To say the least I learnt loads and had a blast. I had never gone on one of these seminars before and if you’re thinking about doing something like this, the investment is truly worth it. Just to see how others work, their cool marketing strategies and to keep up with what is going on in this busy, over subscribed wedding photography business. If I had loads of money lying around (I don’t, I’ve even checked the back of our couches incase enough loose change had fallen down there to make me super rich) I would attend these seminars regularly.
It’s so important to know what others are doing, for many reasons but mainly so you can come up with something a little more unique. Too often these days I hear of a photographer and dash along to their website to see what they’re about and see the same (copied) poses and images.

Anyway, that’s not the point. I was lucky enough to spend some time with 3 guys who are ahead of the game and kicking preverbial butt. It was super fun and I learnt so much – not to mention the food and rest of the company were fab too. Here are some pics of the day.

Myself & Crash…yes, I’m that much of a nerd that I had a pic taken with him!

I learnt tons from these guys.
Keep on working hard doing what you love! Have a wonderful weekend.
