Ah, what a lovely couple Katie and Rob are.
They got in touch about their wedding which was at Morden Park House (Morden Park Registry Office) in October. They were both so relaxed and down to earth and in love. We had great plans to have a walk around the woods and take some photographs but when their day arrived, the weather had something else in mind.
It rained just a light drizzle before the ceremony and then during the ceremony, it progressively got heavier! And heavy enough that there was not even a moment where we contemplated going outside to get family shots or any pics.
Their ceremony was attended by family and was intimate and happy. Their were many laughs and smiles throughout the ceremony and these two only have eyes for each other.
We had to take their family photographs inside and once we had done those, their family left for the reception and the 3 of us were able to do the couple’s shoot…also inside, but as a photographer you have to think on your feet (constantly) and we got some charming images.
The rain was still coming down when we finished the indoor shoot, so cue a big umbrella and me in wellies and we were able to get some photo’s just outside the entrance to Morden Park House. We had loads of laughs (!!!) and I genuinely had fun with Katie and Rob.

Like I said to them, every couple’s day is unique to them and the sun didn’t shine, but they will remember their day for what it was (and I hear rain on your wedding day is good luck too!).
Wishing these two all the best in their future together.
