Who is ready to get rid of 2020???? Everyone, I’m sure. I’m not 100% certain of what we expect of January 2021, there is some kind of crazy pressure on the new year already to create a better world for us all.
I could write a blog about what to expect, but honestly I don’t know what to expect. This year has definitely made me take stock of my life and business. The wedding industry, well I’ve said it before, it’s broken and whilst yes, it will come back. People will always get married, maybe a little differently in the future, but love will always win…but whilst we are waiting for all of that to happen businesses are folding left right and center. In that time I still need to make money to be able to pay the bills and live my life, we are in lockdown 2.0 in England, so by saying ‘live my life’, it’s a bit of a stretch as currently I’m allowed to drop my kids at school and go to the grocery shop for food. Even the clothing has been taped off in some shops, I mean, COME ON!!!!!
Anyway this isn’t a rant (breath in, breath out) money is low and we have several birthdays coming up, of course Christmas and then all the usual bills to deal with, so it is not going to be easy. We just have to get through it, we don’t have a choice and this is actually happening right now so whatever situation you’re in, remember to reach out to your friends and family and whilst someone might say “yes, I’m fine”, it’s doesn’t always mean that. Make sure they’re fine, make sure you’re looking after yourself, get up and get moving, it clears away the cobwebs and I promise you will feel great afterwards.
Be strong, this too will pass.
