A girl called Lizzie and a guy called Dom. They met, fell in love and had their wedding postponed 3 times…ah, not the usual fairytale story, but this is the year of the pandemic and this is what it did to so many weddings.
Lizzie got hold of me only a few months ago, looking for a photographer for their wedding at Russettings in Sutton. She told me that they had already postponed their wedding twice and were looking for only an hour of photography. I put together a bespoke quote for them and we were all set for a wedding in November. Then we were thrown into another lockdown and their wedding was postponed until December.
Everyone held their breath and crossed their fingers that we would get the green light in December and hooray, their wedding was allowed to go ahead.
They had 7 guests and the room was FULL of love!!!! Lizzie looked beautiful and a little nervous waiting outside on the chilly December day, but when her mum walked her down the aisle in the ‘garden room’ and she saw Dom, I can safely say her nerves melted away and they were both so happy that they could say their vows.

Their ceremony was simple and delightful, with a few giggles thrown in here and there.

After the signing of the register, we went outside for some quick photos…there was a definite chill in the air so I worked as quickly as I could.

Wishing Lizzie and Dom a wonderful married life together!!
Congratulations again and thank you for having me there to photograph your wedding.
