Berkshire’s Wedding Venues

I thought I would do a blog covering some of the top wedding venues in Wokingham and surrounding Berkshire area. Planning your wedding can be super time consuming, you want to find a venue that holds the amount of people you would like to invite, it has to feel right. Are you looking for a barn wedding? A hotel? An intimate, private garden wedding? And of course you have to see if your chosen date is available and if it fits into your proposed budget.

Let’s see what is out there!

Stokes Farm Barn, Wokingham
This venue looks amazing!!! Based in Wokingham, it is a family run venue with rustic charm in a glorious location. You get exclusive use of the barn and can have from 30 to 150 guests. Follow the link above (the link is in the name), their site is amazing and if I was planning my own wedding, this would be the top of my list of venues.

Easthampstead Park Hotel
This Victorian Mansion is based on the edge of Wokingham and Bracknell. You have the choice of getting married in the Orangery, Terrace Ceremony Room or The Wedding Pavilion, which all look beautiful and if elegance is what you’re going for then this could definitely be the choice for your day.

Cantley House Hotel
50 acres of countryside, catering for the small and intimate wedding or a grand affair, this privately owned boutique hotel offers some fantastic options and what I found super useful was a list of ‘late availability’ dates published on their website (we all know this past year has been terrible for the wedding industry, so having that kind of info ready is really helpful).

Warbrook House Hotel
Based in Eversley, Hampshire, this beautiful Grade I listed mansion can accommodate small weddings all the way up to weddings for 550 guests…now that’s a large wedding!
There are several package options and most of them come with not only a wedding co-ordinator but also the option to use the grounds for your photography and with a quick look at their site, there are a lot of gorgeous areas to use.

The Great House at Sonning
Riverside location based just outside of Reading. Yes, please. This venue is an intimate country retreat that is licensed for civil ceremonies up to 120 guests and has a church around the corner if you’re looking for a church wedding. On a private terrace overlooking the river, you can enjoy some bubbles before retreating to the dining room for your wedding meal. Their prices are listed on the website and gives you a fantastic idea of just what they have to offer.

Stanlake Park and Vineyard
Getting married in Berkshire’s finest wine estate, that has to be on your list of venues! The rustic barn looks simply amazing and the grounds for your wedding photography, well, a photographers dream. When you book you select private hire of one of four areas of the estate. This venue looks incredible, the twinkling fairy lights in the barn to the walled garden just ready for your couples shoot.

Rivervale Barn
In Yateley, Hampshire the light drenched Ceremony Barn (overlooking the garden) is the perfect place to say ‘I do’ in front of your loved ones or you can choose from their outdoor ceremony space surrounded by beautiful greenery, offering you seclusion for your vows. Catering for up to 200 guests, its a truly gorgeous venue and their website is full of useful information and loads of photographs to really illustrate what they offer.

I hope that was useful, these venues are unique and so inviting, I’m sure not an easy task to narrow them down to a final choice.
Perhaps in the not too distant future I will be photographing a couple’s wedding at one of them!

Take care,
Kirst x
